Empowering Futures: Simon Scholars Partnership with Chapman PA Program

Welcome to the collaboration between Simon Scholars and the Chapman University Physician Assistant (PA) Program. At the heart of both organizations is a shared commitment to empowering young minds and creating pathways to success.

The new Simon Scholar Physician Assistant Program at Chapman University creates pathways for students facing adversity by offering full-tuition scholarships.

“In reflecting on completing my first year, I am still in disbelief at the continued support from the Simon Family Foundation,” shares Vanessa Lopez, Simon Scholar Alum and current PA student. “A year from now, I will graduate debt-free with an impactful career as a physician assistant, all thanks to Mr. Simon’s support.”

This scholarship provides eligible students who wish to earn their Masters in Medical
Science degree (MMS) at the Chapman University Physician Assistant program with
the opportunity to graduate in two years with little or no debt and join the profession
ranked number one in best healthcare jobs in 2021 by U.S. News & World Report.

Student debt can have a significant effect on career choices, as well as clinical
practice types and location. Our goal is to minimize the impact on student debt for
students awarded the Simon Scholar PA Program scholarship.

This collaboration is more than a connection; it’s a bridge to opportunity. Simon Scholars gain exclusive access to resources, mentorship, and insights provided by the esteemed faculty and practitioners of the Chapman PA Program.

Qualified applicants to Simon Scholar PA Program must also meet Chapman University PA Program admissions requirements.

About Chapman PA Program:

The Master of Medical Sciences (MMS) PA Studies Program at Chapman University is an ARC-PA accredited 24-month, full-time cohort model with a rigorous didactic and clinical education curriculum. The program prepares highly competent, culturally sensitive, ethical, and insightful PAs who work compassionately and collaboratively to enhance access to high-quality patient care. Upon completion, program graduates are eligible to sit for the NCCPA Physician Assistant National Certification Exam (PANCE), for which the program currently holds a 97% first-time taker average pass rate. Alumni work in a wide range of fields including, but not limited to, primary care, surgery, family medicine, internal medicine, emergency medicine, pediatrics, women’s health, orthopedics, psychiatry, pain management, and gastroenterology.
