In recent years, we have worked with more than 30 high schools in three states and in Washington, D.C. Today, there are 17 active qualified Simon Scholars high schools. Together, they have served over 600 students. In 2009, the first cohort of Simon Scholars earned bachelor's degrees from leading universities such as Harvard, Smith, UC Berkeley and UC Irvine.
Becoming a qualified Simon Scholar high school requires a strong commitment and a partnership approach from the local school district administration, high school principals and counselors. Each qualified high school will enjoy the benefit of having approximately $1.5 million in scholarships, goods and services awarded to their students over a 6-year period.
